I know a cool thing Susan! You know here it doesnt get bitter cold so
often. But on times when it is a really cool day and we go on a ride
and the horse is damp with sweat for the trailer ride home etc---
Jeffers and other places sell a thig called "blanket liner" and it is
a thin fleece slip over the head thing thats only like 29 bucks and I
swear I have used that thing to death. On bitter cold rainy nights I
had fox in a blanket that was too small for him and left a large area
exposed cause I had to use his huge coat on big skin and bones Gallant
boy, so I would put the blanket liner under it. Also Gallant boy was
so thin I would put the blanket liner on him on cool nites when it
really wasnt cold enough for a blanket but he was so thin and had old
bones. anyway. i really use the heck outa my blanket liner! Only
thing is is doesnt come in a wide range of sizes like a blanket. I
think only sm med and large. I think an icey would take a small and
after a while the neck stretches out but you could cut the bottom with
scissors if it hangs too long.
