I used to be more sympathetic to that "take what you need" approach, but I think RFD-TV sort of put me over the limit. Now it seems that every Tom, Dick and Harriet is putting out a video and selling tack/equipment and you can literally spend the rest of your life looking for the tidbits you can "take." Seriously, there are local trainers and horsemen that I think have more to offer than some of these so-called clinicians. At this point, I think if I see a clinician do a demo once, or maybe even twice, and I have to struggle to find something to "take", or if I have to overlook too many offenses, then I'm marking him/her off my list for at least the next decade! (Maybe after that much time has lapsed, they will gain some experience and perspective.) There are just too many good clinicians/horsemen that I don't have to struggle to find the good in what they say or do - I'll stick with them, and work with my own horses.
