I have always ridden (not always by choice) horses that tended to be on the hot side. I think they're quieter when the weather is warmer. I'm thinking that horses might also be calmer/warmer when their coats begin to grow in the Fall and the days are still warm.
And all those Thoroughbreds and my current TWH are why I love Icelandics. Nancy
