thanks!! stjarni's trot is currently the way i like it (big with a long stride) best, but we really need to work on collection and slowing it down as well. tips and pointers most appreciated :) we have a lesson today, so we may have a chance to work on improving that gait quite soon :) --vicka ps. fwiw -- stjarni's cues for trot are, i tip my pelvis forward, make sure my reins are loose, press my hands on his withers and say "trot!" if he's been having a hard time with it, i go all the way into half seat before even asking.
