>>> To be honest I don't think they really give a damn about international exposure - they're working quietly with their own horses, and having a nice time. Icelanders as a nation are renowned for being bloody awful at replying to letters or emails, and most of the Icelanders I know are far too busy to bother with things like the list, or updating websites, writing to magazines etc.
If that's their priorities, then that's certainly their prerogative. It's perfectly ok with me - I have more good trainers that I can watch (in person, on video) in the USA than I can get around to anyway. I'm kinda curious though...in a country that has 23 hours of darkness in the winter, what are they busy doing year-round? That was a rhetorical question. I don't expect an answer of course. (The word, "busy", just made me think about their world's highest per capita consumption of alcohol, for some reason...) BTW, somewhere I read that Icelanders have a very high per capita access to computers and to the internet - maybe one of the highest in the world. Interesting that they conveniently don't have time to answer basic questions about horsemanship... Karen Thomas, NC No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
