Hi Karen,
>>>So, today my friend handled her some
more, and picked up all of her feet. Note that there is slack in the lead
line. I think she's really coming around.

Nice photos, she really has the 'oops what is going to happen' look on her
face but I think that has even changed from the first photos you sent even
though much more is being done with her.

I find that in general horses are much less reactive with a slack rope, even
if someone is holding a horse for the first mounting, which we often do, the
line must not be held tightly and the horse needs the chance to look around.

One comment I will make, and you can take it for what it is worth, IME this
type of Icelandic can have a tendency to freeze, and holding the breath,
when concerned so watching the respiration and depth of breathing is really
helpful. I think that with the way you handle horses and the help you have
Angie will come around very well and go a long way.

It's like with Skjoni, we didn't have problems with him here and used him
for some other riders here BUT if he had gone to many homes he could have
reverted and been difficult which is why, once we knew how you made out with
the other horses you bought and had seen you both ride, we thought it could
be a good fit.
