Did she ask her to canter on a straightway or on a curve/in an arena? I think a few horses are just so naturally balanced that they tend to get the correct leads, assuming there's a reason for a given lead to seem "correct" to them. My two TWH were sooo different. Mac could barely canter - he'd gait faster and faster until he'd gallop all strung-out, usually cross-cantering. (We finally gave up and were happy for a fast gait.) But Holly is so athletic that she has always picked up the correct lead - I really can't remember her ever getting a wrong lead. Maybe Tosca will be one of those.
