I think so too from the few pics I've seen.

I'm having problems with my internet for some reason, and nothing on
Youtube will play for me.  However, if her gaits are naturally there,
and they are bubbling to the surface during her initial training in
the basics....the gaits will be there no matter what.

Just the other night when Cara popped up on Dagur, he started out with
a ground covering walk that had some sort of smooth gait in it.  So
the gaits are there in a naturally gaited horse....you don't need to
sit behind their movement, or yank their heads up, or use narrow
saddles or harsh bits.

That article in Horse Illustrated is unfortunate BTW....I can just
imagine all the experienced 'regular' horse people reading that and
looking at the picture and saying "what the he** is that?".  A letter
to Horse Illustrated might not be a bad idea either.
