Hi Wanda, >>>?? What were you up to in -20? BTW...with the windchill it's -29, but it's supposed to go up to -1 on Saturday :)
While I don't miss the really cold winters in Edmonton, like Saskatoon, this is a great winter in the Okanagan - enough below freezing for the snow to be dry but quite a bit of sun. As the Icelanders, and probably anyone who lives in a cold climate, say "There is no such thing as bad weather, only poor clothing". If you are dressed for weather, and it is not TOO bad, it is rather pleasant to be outside. Canada is having a real old fashioned winter - lots of snow instead of 50 degrees in Ontario as has been the case the last couple of years. And Virginia, the Maritimes is really getting blasted. I wonder how that is for you your first winter out of the city. Robyn - just in from feeding and it is -7 C with a wind chill of -13 - probably sounds balmy to Wanda : )) Icelandic Horse Farm Robyn Hood & Phil Pretty Vernon BC Canada www.icefarm.com
