is my stonewall unusual then? I mean he ALWAYS trots in the field. When he was 15 months old I sent a "what gait" photo of him to Lee Zeigler and she responded he was doing a beautiful floaty trot. Then she said by the conformation photos I had sent he would probably rack, and he does. So obviously as a very young horse he had the conformation to rack but chose to trot. Is that rare? Or do a lot of horses do that?? And my nasi, geez he seems to do some sorta little foxtrotty thing everywhere. there he goes with the donkey, they do this playfight thing for hours just chasing one another and he will canter and then drop out of it into some sorta gait looking thing and every time i video or take pics it turns out to be either trot or foxtrot. but instead of feeling discouraged about that i think well, maybe he will be like stonewall, just a trotty guy til he gets under saddle someday.
