Here in Sonoma in northern California we got a good 8" of rain but a nice break
in the storm to allow for run-off so the creeks didn't jump their banks. Our
winds at about 40 mph were calm compared to some other areas. A light dusting
of snow on the highest peaks. The more densely populated hillsides of Marin
County and the 101 corridor got most of the coverage on TV. We're ready for
the next wave and feeling so smug because we didn't lose power at any time.
