It's called the "wolf Treatment"...Learned about it decades ago in school (one of the reasons I don't like Cesar is that it all seems like a big "DUH" to me)...it should only be done when the dog in question does NOT see you as pack leader. I had to do it to my Dreyfuss...she was a complete knucklehead as a pup and by 6 months, it was clear she didn't respect me as leader. Have never had a problem since....
