Ron has an appointment Monday in Portland (Oregon's most cosmopolitan city, about five horse north of us) for something called a Quick Brain MRI, follow-up to his shunt revision surgeries last summer.
So, the amazing Christina and little brother Nate (Icelandic owners) are coming in to take care of Brenda and Jenny and all the animals and we're taking Stephanie along for the indoor swimming pool, sightseeing and maybe a little shopping. We considered taking Greta, the baby African Grey, but decided that two wheelchairs and a travel cage might be a bit over the top. Isn't there someone on this list who travels with birds? How do they do? Greta has been going to the vet in a cat carrier and seems to love travel, but she couldn't spend an entire weekend in a crate. Nancy
