i used to travel a lot with my african gray max. he was leash-trained when i got him, and as long as i kept his wings clipped and had a t-stand to put him on when i got tired of carrying him, he travelled very well. (at home he had a cage, but i never put him in a crate and i don't think he'd have liked it, he didn't even like having his cage covered.) you can google for "bird flight suit" or "african gray harness" or somesuch to find the state of the art. while i was poking around i also came across this cute thing: http://www.pamperedpeeps.com/videmmaminis.wmv have a great trip! i love portland :) --vicka
