Yes, that is a great photo, but it sure makes me glad I am here in SoCal. My
horse would freeze there. He has very little coat and then he has been shaved
on the lower half for the riding. It is going to be in the high seventies
here this week. I finally got my Icelandic stirrups yesterday and will put
them on my borrowed saddle today some time. I am waiting for my side pull
bridle. I have to buy a blanket to fit this saddle my old wool forward seat
pad
is too small and kinda the wrong shape somewhat. I rode him with an egg butt
snaffle that fit him well and is a good bit. He was OK with that, I have been
bitting him up for years so to have a bridle in the mouth is no big deal. I
let him out to graze this morning. Can a horse get too much green stuff? its
going to be weeds if it gets bigger so its not a crop or anything. Some of
this stuff was oat hay years ago before my house was built. I want to drive my
pony today sometime. She is a borrowed mini with cart and all. She is very
fun. Sylvia
