its a long story. He has a screw loose i think. he is ground trained/trained to death. does tricks for godssakes. He has been trail ridden thousands of miles. Does fine in small groups, goes insane with excitement in large groups. Its his thing to get over. I took him four days to the field trial camp and by day three he was lying in the sun like a lamb napping while horses and dogs ran everywhere and was going on long happy walks around the busy camp so I thought he was used to the chaos. he actually did real well and was calm until a large group had to catch up and came up on us fast and he seemed to behave as if he was being attacked from the rear, I got him back, but from then on he was too hyped up and excited to listen. he is not an icelandic horse Vicka. He is half horse, half hummingbird, has been clocked by a vehicle at 20 mph at a saddle rack, not a true rack. he quivers and his head whirls when a twig cracks, yet he is not afraid of anything, yet goes into blind bizarre panics in new situations with lots of new people and horses. At the field trial he walked up behind a young girl and took a water bottle out of the back of her pants waist and tossed it thru the air, just calm and happy, star of the show. Stood on a stump waving a cowboy hat in his mouth. You cant ever just relax and smell the roses with stonewall. My vet says he has ADHD. and I tend to agree. I think all of us have issues we have to work out with our horses, and me, I am working on mine. I brought my jaspar from a nervous wreck to the most deadbroke horse in town, my Tivar from a suspicious opinionated grump to the next best deadbroke horse in town, and I wont give up on my walls. Its like your issue with Starnji headed back to the barn. You have to work on that right? Even the best horse in the world can be bad sometimes and you have to work thru it or it doesnt go away i think. Janice-- yipie tie yie yo
