I betcha you're in for the time of your life, Nancy. I DO think there are some Icelandics with some in-born "impulsion" (not literally using the word in the dressage sense, but meaning somewhat forward but not impulsive.) I personally don't particularly like the horses that won't move forward easily, but I want my rides to be relaxing. I also think a good percentage of Icelandic's have some Energizer Bunny in them - even the non-excitable ones like Tivar. They may be happy enough to plod along at a slow pace, but many will keep going and going and going... :) Karen Thomas, NC
