When I was trying to switch Twist from pacing to trotting, one of the things I would do was to post to the pace. Believe me, it's not easy and makes no sense, but it would throw him off balance enough that he would begin to trot. Later, I could just use the verbal cue "trot". Trotting over cavaletti worked, too. Or rather starting down the line pacing and Twist making the correction. Nancy
