wow, last nite on the news, some people in our sheriffs posse and
riding club, we have been to their home many times, were shot and
killed in their bed by their oldest son. They played the 911 call and
he was giggling and saying he had killed them both for molesting his
grandchildren (he is 18 and has no children) and that he had one
bullet left and if his brother came home he was going to shoot him
too. My gosh! They live near me. And then they have the neighbor on
tv, all upset and blabbering and saying "we never lock our doors out
here! we have expensive saddles and bridles and all in the shed and
we have NEVER locked it" then she says she will take care of the
horses til it is figured out what will become of them. One horse just
got over a bout with cancer to the tune of a huge vet bill, a great
horse, rides and drives. He has an appaloosa and a walker. It is
very sad and just weird!

Our public defnder in this district is also a horse friend, and he
made a public announcement that the son had been committed several
times to the state mental hospital and was off his medication.

Just never know who you are riding with!
Janice
