Janice....I'm so sorry...  They must have always had a quiet struggle
to endure.  Riding probably gave them a much needed release.

See...now this is what I like about the law enforcement in the US.
They lay it all on the table....the public never has to guess about
the type of people the police have to deal with.

That doesn't happen in Canada.  Playing a 911 tape (unless expressly
ordered by a judge) would be considered a breach of trust.  Which
often leaves the public with the impression that the law enforcement
made errors or were treating someone unfairly...because the police
will never talk about a case or give details about an investigation.
They have a PR person that will sometimes reveal small unimportant
details about a case, but that's about it.

I remember many times being frustrated because someone was complaining
about the police force my husband worked for....and that same someone
had a criminal record a mile long or had just raped a woman, or had
just beaten up his brother so badly that the guy was in hospital in a
coma.....but the police said nothing.

And the rage against the police continued on and on in the media....

Frustrating...

There...I've vented.
