first one, horse is using his head to help gait, is gaiting free and relaxed. I bet he is racking. There is a subtle side to side sway and he isnt pacey so it must be a rack?
second horse, oh gosh, he is jabbing his nose in the air, wanting release from the constant rein pressure, the constant holding of his head, which he needs to gait freely. He has an overdeveloped neck ewe-ing from being held so high headed. probably to force ventroflexing so he will gait better. I read some of the comments on the first horse, it said he broke a leg as a two year old, and look how he gaits. Just shows a naturally gaited horse is something you cant take away if they really have it and it isnt forced. jmo janice-- even good horses have bad days sometimes.
