Bia, they are not an AKC breed, and they have been common farn dog/pets in NC in past years. I grew up with them all around - neighbors and relatives. If you are seriously interested, check one of the NC farm ad sites, like the Agricultural Review. I used to see pups going for $35-75 when registered breeds were more like $100-250, so they certainly weren't expensive then. (Obviously that's been a while.) I haven't seen any for sale lately, so I have no idea what their prices are now. Karen Thomas, NC
