>> I am much more impressed than when I hear people who "camp" in RV's or living quarter horse-trailers tell me that their horses are just peachy-keen-happy standing tied to the trailer all night, for several nights on end
I camp in an RV and my ponies are either tied to a Hi-Tie or on a Picket Line. And ...YES...they are peachy-keen-happy standing tied to the trailer all night, for several nights on end. Both of these options give them plently of "moving room". You can see photos of my set up at http://tinyurl.com/3ye2fm >>If I'm going to ask my horses to haul my butt around all day, AND to give up their comfortable pasture at night, the least I can do is give up my warm comfy bed, so we really CAN bond a little.... :) Mine do get that...tied to a trailer, Hi-Tie or on a picket line!
