We got in the habit of taking our horses for walks on the trail when Cary got interested in Icelandics. He's big, and I don't worry too much about him riding some of the bigger ones, but I like for them to have some exercise opportunities where they don't have to be carrying weight. As Laree says, it's also a great bonding exercise, and a safe way to get them used to sights on the trail. Karen Thomas, NC
