When my daughter was in high school, she dated a guy who did grounds work for a golf course. The course was on a curvy road, and apparently one day, a construction truck when by a little too fast, and dumped about 25-30 cones on the edge of the course. They held them for a few days for someone to claim them, but they never did. The boy casually mentioned that they were going to throw them out, and Emily starting yelling, NO!! (We have always taken in "strays".) I still have about a dozen of them, and gave the rest to friends. Some of these are about 3 feet high (most about 2 feet) and they really are too big. Given a choice, I prefer the ones about 12-18 inches high, but even the 6" high ones are ok. I think the 12" ones are less than $10 now. Karen Thomas, NC
