They are sort of basically the same, just different covers. I really must investigate this a little further. Yes, the Burr pad has less padding down the sides. It's actually a very nice pad that I may end up using with Gusti and my Hybrid. Oh...to have spring and be able to putter with this stuff for a whole day without freezing to death... Wanda
