To me, this is a really deep subject. When your horse *wants* to be with you, it's different than having a horse that is just doing a job. A horse that is only responding to your requests because he is suppressed or submissive, is not the horse that I want to be on. I want one that is happy to be with me, has no desire to run away from me (or run with me [an unrequested run] because running with me is the same as running *from* me). I would think that 99 and 44/100% of owners would want the same thing when it comes down to it. How you get this, the horse that wants to be with you, is the crux, isn't it?
