make sure you clip her underarm hair where the girth goes Karen. Most horses dont react so much but teev pure hates it when the girth pulls these hairs, and if he reacts, then maybe some stoic horses out there are just gritting their teeth and bearing it or acting out in another way, balky etc. My stonewall is sensitive to this also. and will kick at the girth when you tighten it, HARD, so if he hit you it would break your hand/arm, so I have to clip him there too. I use the little tiny battery operated ear clippers for that. Keep it in my trailer. when stonewall first started i thought he was kicking at flies, then thought he was kicking at ME not wanting to be girthed up. Janice
