I have "The Ultimate Horse Behavior and Training Book" by Linda Tellington-Jones and I carry it with me to my second job and re-read sections constantly. It is one of my horse "bibles". >> "The body rope and body wrap improve a horse's body awareness and his ability to move in a smooth and coordinated manner, the twin hallmarks of proprioception."<< In the "Ultimate" book, under "key uses" it says: -gives spooky horses a feeling of containment -helps horses wih a dropped back or ewe-neck -encourages lazy or short-strided horses to move out -reassures horses who spin and bolt under saddle -relaxes horses who kick at others while ridden I subscribe to LTJ's you-tube videos, and here is one of the promise wrap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvyEJw4g5Tk I know when I ride Whisper on the trails and she gets frustrated, she bucks without the promise wrap, but doesn't buck with it on! Susan in NV read my blog to see why I ride my horse in pink: http://desertduty.blogspot.com/ ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
