Thank you Renee, I am sure Mic will enjoy this too. 18 years ago is some of this stuff.....most of us on this list did not even own Icelanidcs at the time.
One of my biggest resources was Robin Hoods website. I just thought her website really did a job of characterizing the horse. Its amazing that this happened and the breed still went on. There are alot of myths out there in the horse world..it is a weird world thats for sure. I appreciate your post Renee, it was very specific, and showed me what went on before I ever found out about the breed. We work hard here to Market our horses well and find the right human for th horse that we have for sale. We do trails rides with the prospective buyer for up to 2 weeks, sometimes more, give lessons....trailer the horse to them....then trailer to their place the next day with all the horse friends of the horse that was just sold so that he can go out with his friends in the new location. We do that for the horse really for more than the rider. I want them both to be happy. I never want them to think I sold them a horse, cashed the check and then hid my head. I will even take the horse back if it does not work out in the first 30 days. After that I will resale the horse without a commission, as long as the horse does not need re-training. We want the rider and the horse as happy as possible. Skye
