What town is Prineville in?
Prineville is about 10 miles East of Bend. The views are amazing from the few high points on the trail. I think you and our daughter Abby made the same discovery this weekend. She decided to let her big strong Anglo Arab mare go on the LD (because Whiskeytown vet suggested it). She did 25 miles in 2:45 minutes, cantering most of the flat final 12 miles. She said it was amazingly fast and up to the point of being a little dangerous at times. When we got home, I checked her ride record from last year. She'd done the same course in 2:41 hours on her other horse (Arab/Standardbred cross) mostly at the trot. There's a lesson there I think. Nancy
