The swelling is not too much of a worry; it is the actual eyeball that I worry about. If the cornea (clear part that the horse sees through) is cloudy or rough at all, if the blood vessels around the eyeball are more red or in higher number than the other eye, or she acts like that eye is painful, then you need to take her to the vet tomorrow. Corneal abrasions or ulcers can be difficult to see without the special stains and can be difficult to get to heal, so I always worry about those. People call a lot with questions just like yours, so if the eye doesn't look somewhat better by tomorrow I'd call your vet. HTH, Penny
