it took me two years to undo what karen did to him. When I first got him he would actually respond to formal cues and perform actual commands as if he had been a trained horse. it was unbelievable! I had never seen a horse like that before, that would actually do what you told them to do. and oh the work. It was almost a full year before I got him to understand my foot clunking his left side with each step did not actually mean anything! And when i first got him he would actually let me tell him what do do all the time. Thank god I was able to let him be his real self and more like the free spirited wild horse he really is deep inside. he was very happy with me because i happen to believe that all horses, if treated like big teddy bears and allowed to do whatever they want... will try not to kill you unless absolutely necessary. I am starting my own training academy, and will post the info as soon I have a few slots available for apprenticeship. One of the major components of my training method is that we here at the fat circus pony training academy, we do all our own stunts. Janice -- even good horses have bad days sometimes.
