Trausti isn't what I would call a "spooky" horse. In fact, he's been Mr. Dependable here - but we didn't rush him either when he first moved here and was in his mourning phase for his old home. He's seen a lot on the trails and never let us down. That reaction tells me that he's still on guard...waiting for the Dread Pirate Roberts to "most likely kill him in the morning." I'm glad you're giving him a little time to relax, and for him to realize that you intend to be his person for the long haul. In the meantime, until he trusts you, please don't approach him with a sword and a parrot on your shoulder, ok? :) >>> I think karen has black water tubs, no? I do, but I have used colored muck buckets for waterers at times, and Trausti wasn't bothered by the blue tarp on the ground or the hanging blue swim noodles or the shredded blue tarp at the "car wash". I don't think it's color related, not strongly anyway. I think he just needs a little time. Karen Thomas, NC
