Ann said he loves mares. But the three mares I ride with a lot, one
he hated, one he loved to devil and aggravate into a frienzy somehow,
and one he appeared to ignore. The one he hated he tried to kick her
down when tied too close at the trailer, but food was involved. the
one he loved to devil, a frisky silly arab mare, he would inch closer
when I wasnt looking on a ride and that would send her off into a head
snaking snit fit and he would be at the ready so when she would try
and fire off a kick he would veer offtrail into the woods, go in and
out some trees and reemerge to start in on her all over again. She
has kicked about every horse I have ever ridden with her on, but Teev
could read her better than others. He also aggravated her more than
others, would have her in just a frenzy. Stonewall would get crushes
on her and try to get close and she would whop kick him so HARD. if
she even looked at teev he would flatten his ears and she would go off
on a head snaking little snit. Teev's finest moments on the trail
were wen I would let him pass her. oh he lived for those moments
haha. In fact, both times I suspect he did a speed rack or flying
pace were when we were cantering hard and I let him know it was ok to
pass her... he put the pedal to the metal then haha
