The smoke has missed us -- we just have thick fog right now Your ride doesn't sound like a good idea to me either. If you decide to go, get your horse thoroughly filled with slurpy beet pulp or bran mashes, electrolytes the night before, and lots of water. And you carry lots of water on your saddle and a plastic bag you can use to turn your helmet into a water bowl for sharing that water with your horse, if need be.
