The docs seems to me sometimes too complex and sometime missing the basics
steps to do the basic configuration.

I read and used it as primary source.
At the moment I am only testing, so I don't spend many hours in studying
the docs, but I think a getting started guide can be useful to people like
me that are evaluating the software before to fully implement it.
You wouldn't take that approach flying a plane would you? :)

Tried to put a couple of monitoring object in /etc/icinga2/conf.d (the
defaults are still presents), but not any results in the log.
Seems like it isn't doing nothing.

If I try to connect to the http://host/icinga-web I get a blank page that
report:

Probably I miss something trivial but essential ;-)
