This is probably the best general purpose pgsql plugin for Nagios/Icinga.

Hi.. I'm trying to set up Icinga to monitor some postgres databases.  The
plugin libraries shipped with Icinga (icinga2-common package on Debian stretch)
contain a check command for "postgres" which refers to
"/http://check_postgres.pl".

The only instance of that string in the Debian package repository seems to be
the 'check-postgres' package, which contains a man page but not the script.
That package does install several things into /usr/bin, but nothing referenced
by the Icinga templates.

Is this check-postgres package what people are using to monitor their databases
with Icinga?  Or something else?

It seems like there's a bug here somewhere either way ...  either the check
command should be updated to refer to this other script, or the missing script
needs to be added to a package somewhere.
