The tools in the check_postgres package on Debian (<
http://bucardo.org/check_postgres>) seem to be somewhat more extensive than
that, but are simply not referenced by anything in the Icinga packages.  It
looks like perhaps the contrib.d commands for databases that ships with the
Icinga package has simply become out of sync with check_postgres.  I was
hoping to find that someone already had some work underway to bring those
back in line, but perhaps not.

Since I've got to write my own check commands anyway, it seems best to
stick with using check tools that are already packaged for the OS.

If I can find the time to refactor the work for general use I'll try and
contribute them back to the icinga2-common package.
