We decided to split the trees for the roadmap into stable and unstable.
So for 1.3 features are newly planned and introduced - considered for
"fresh and new, but can contain bugs". Those will be resolved within the
next stable release 1.4 then if occuring (as it's e.g. in Perl). An
unstable release without any major changes or introduced features
wouldn't make sense, eh? ;)

You are right about fixes for the 1.2.x release tree. Consider the fact
that there are too few developers currently to maintain each and
everything. If anyone interested on getting their hands dirty on the web
feel free to get in touch.
I'm not saying this because those mentioned issues won't be resolvable
or taking prior but since this is a community project, it's also up to
us all to make this better - and not to depend on 2 people (probably
soon 3). Better would be a count of 5 for decision making. On the core,
this was happening in the past year and it's working :-)

Although I do think everyone got their daily job, so don't stress too
much ;-) And if it hurts too much, get onto the code and create a nifty
patch...

kind regards,
Michael
