hi, this was reported recently to the dev tracker, and as you might be aware from the notifications, if a host is a member in more than one group, the according macro $HOSTGROUPNAME$ only holds the information of the first group being grabbed then.
the discussion is to realize the exact same (?) in classic ui, status.cgi and/or extinfo.cgi because currently the *group macros are not grabbed and therefore not processed, like described in this issue https://dev.icinga.org/issues/1878 please tell wether you want the same behaviour as described in the docs, or if you happen to have other ideas which might get their attraction by developers too. thanks, michael -- DI (FH) Michael Friedrich Vienna University Computer Center Universitaetsstrasse 7 A-1010 Vienna, Austria email: michael.friedr...@univie.ac.at phone: +43 1 4277 14359 mobile: +43 664 60277 14359 fax: +43 1 4277 14338 web: http://www.univie.ac.at/zid http://www.aco.net Icinga Core& IDOUtils Developer http://www.icinga.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity and more.
