i normally use google indexer to query that specifics. like 
"[icinga-users] the topic i want to look for".

but the archive is to be found here as well: 
https://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=icinga-users

other valuable ressources will be the search at www.icinga-portal.org - 
even if german, i would guess your problem has bugged others before.
