repoforge actually has icinga 1.7.2 (and -web) packages - which is not 
the latest and the greatest, but people use that as well. so rather then 
rebuilding from srpms you should just use those, waiting til the next 
packages are available directly from repoforge - that's the common sense 
of such repositories (also until someone sponsors an upstream package of 
icinga*).
