Hello --
I checked the icinga.log file, and I did find this:
idomod: IDOMOD 1.8.1 (10-25-2012) Copyright(c) 2005-2008 Ethan Galstad,

'/usr/local/icinga/lib/idomod.so' returned an error. Module will be unloaded.
[1354109372] Event broker module '/usr/local/icinga/lib/idomod.so'
deinitialized successfully.
I reconfigured the use_ssl=1 to read use_ssl=0 in the idomod.cfg file, and
restarted the system. This time, the localhost appeared as a selection
in the dropdown menu.
The following entries appeared in the icinga.log file:

Sorry to be a pain about this, but has anyone had the issue described in my
previous e-mail? The reason I am pressing this
is due to having the reporting server being the showcase behind the new
installation. The reporting aspect will be of great use
to us in the upcoming months.
- which frontend is used?
- is the data written into the idoutils backend?

Thanks.

Hello --
I have made some progress. The git installation was successful, and the Icinga
connection to the IDO was also successful.
The issue that I am facing now is the following: Currently this server is
monitoring itself. As it is, I wanted to generate a report
on its status. When I go to the report generator of the program, I am unable to
select any host, or any service.
What am I missing here?

The icinga-reports file was downloaded from the Sourceforge website, and was

The configure and make commands are being run as the root user.
What is going on here?

Hello,
have you installed the MySQL Libraries?
Cheers

I am going through the motions of installing JasperServer 4.7 onto an Icinga
1.8 installation.
The jasperreports-server-cp-4.7.0-linux-x64-installer.run file was installed
with its bundled
tomcat and postgresql servers. I am able to log into the interface without
issue, and I have
confirmed, via test connection, the Jasperserver Repository SQL data source,
Jserver Jdbc
Data Source, and JServerJNDI Data Source connections are functional.
The problem that I am having is the Icinga/Data Sources/IDO Repository
connection does not work.
I have compared the settings on 1.8 server to those on an existing 1.6.1
server, and they are identical.
Has anyone seen this issue, and have an idea as to what step(s) I need to take
in order to correct it?
Thanks.
