REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
MAISA Mens Singlehandeds-Saturday started off with 15-20 out of the
south building to 20-25 through race 4. 2 attempts were made to
continue sailing with the second attempt resulting in many ripped sails
as puffs of 51 knots were recorded. No protests were reported, No
redresses, Five breakdowns were filed and awarded for three broken top
sections, a pintle and a vang block.
Sunday racing started in the morning with 15 knots out of the north and
slowly decreasing in velocity throughout the day. One protest was
disallowed and three breakdowns were filed with two being awarded.
Congratulations to Andrew Campbell, Chris Branning and Alex Steele for
qualifying for Men's Singlehanded Nationals.
