Here are the scores:
Championship Round @ Connecticut College: 23 Races were sailed in a 5-8 knot Northerly Breeze that eventually dead. A crisp 5-12 knot southerly filled in for the conclusion of the Championship round. Thanks to the judges Clay Johnson, Jamie Gillman and Peter Johns for hearing protests after each race. A big thank to the Connecticut College Camels for running the races and a special thanks to Jacob Karlin for helping to direct the undergrads. RP information will follow. Final Championship Results 1. St Mary's 9-0 2. Charleston 7-2 3. Boston College 6-3 Won head to head tie breaker 4. Yale 6-3 5. Tufts 5-4 6. HWS 4-5 7. Connecticut College 3-6 8. MIT 2-7 9. Brown 2-7 10. Navy 1-8 Conciliation Round at CGA: 19 races were completed in a Northerly breeze that ranged from 5-8 knots before the breeze died. 9 more races were sailed to complete the first round robin in a nice 5-12 knot southerly. All races sailed were the college style N-course all 9-13 minutes in length. Unfortunately while the boats sat rigged, protests were being heard so we missed the best breeze of the afternoon, so no sail-offs could take place. Thanks to Bern Noack, Kyle Kovacs and especially Justin Assad who along with myself heard 5 protests for one infamous race. In all 4 DSQ's were handed out that changed the overall results for 4 teams. Many thanks again to the CGA sailing team who ran another fantastic event. Final results are for places 11-18 of the 2008 SNETR. 11 Stanford 6-1 12 Harvard 5-2* 13 UVM 5-2* 14 CGA 4-3 15 Eckerd 3-4 16 ODU 2-5* 17 SUNY 2-5* 18 URI 1-6 * won head to head tie break Mark Zagol Head Sailing Coach US Coast Guard Academy (860) 444-8507 office (860) 234-4593 cell ________________________________________________ icsa mailing list [email protected] http://www.collegesailing.org/mailman/?listname=icsa
