FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS: Saturday we sailed 6 races in both divisions. Teams
started sailing in a very shifty Southerly on Lake Washington. Sailors were
postponed on the water frequently while the wind came from almost every
direction. At 2:00, a shifty 8 kt Southerly filled in and we were able to
complete an additional 4 races in each division by 6:30. We had a bit of sun
and some rain too. Temps right around 40. We sailed W4's. Races averaged 22
minutes. One protest was heard and disallowed.
Sunday, racing got under way at 10:30 in a 3-5 kt southerly. The wind shifted
East throughout the day and eventually died completely during race 10 in B
division. We were off the water by 3:00. No protests. Courses were 22 minute
W4's. Close racing all weekend right up to the last race.
Congratulations to UW and WWU who advance to the semi-finals next month.
