The ten teams in attendance were greeted by frigid temps in the 30s this morning and racing got quickly underway in a 6-10 knot NW breeze and light current. The middle of the first round robin saw wild East River conditions with tons of current and shifty breeze. The round was finished at 2:45PM and we immediately rolled into RR2. 75 races were completed by 6:10PM. Four protests were filed, resulting in one DSQ. A huge thanks to our umpires Peter Johns, Ted Green, Peter Beardsley, Mike Komar, and Jamie Ewing for a long and cold day on the water as well as a large posse of Maritime sailors.
On the docket for tomorrow is the remaining 15 races of the second round robin and a knockout final four. Results and RP info are attached. The top four after today: HWS 13-2 NYM 11-3 Gtown 10-5 Roger Wms 10-5 Russ O'Reilly Head Sailing Coach NY Maritime College
