Saturday:
Day 1 of the Admiral Moore TR opened with a fluky northerly breeze and
strong right-to-left current, but thankfully those conditions turned into a
gorgeous 6-12 knot easterly breeze after the first flight of races. In all,
70 races were completed leaving a little over a half of a round robin to
complete before the final four group is decided. A big thanks go out to the
Maritime sailors for putting in a long day today and to Umpire Ted Green II
for keeping things honest (not to be overshadowed by his son Ted Green III
who served as PRO).

Racing concluded around 5:45PM and 6 protests were filed resulting in two
race-changing results.

Sunday:
Day 2 brought colder temps and a tricky 5-10 knot northerly. 20 races were
completed in short order to finish RR2 and determine seeding for the final
four round. After the dust had settled NY Maritime, Navy, Hobart, and
Georgetown were the top four teams. The final 4 racing was close and
coaches were on the water to keep things honest. In the end the teams came
out of the final four in the same order, with hosts NY Maritime winning the
event with a 16-5 overall record.

Another big thanks to the Maritime sailors who put on a great event this
weekend and to the East River for being surprisingly cooperative.
