Hello Sailors, This past weekend the Vanguard 15 class crowned the Atlantic Coast Champions Colin Merrick and Andrew "Sharky" Schneider. Merrick and Sharky placed outside the top 3 only once.
Clinton Hayes and Kim Dempsey also sailed an impressive regatta, averaging less than a 3rd place each race. This Northern Alliance combo finished second. Rounding out the top 5 were: 3rd: Austen Anderson and Alex Hering 4th: Lucas Adams and Amelia Quinn 5th: Nick Johnstone and Mary Kate The sailors enjoyed 10-15 knots all weekend, and plenty of sun. 13 races were sailed in total. The fleet of 27 boats sailed eight Triangles on Saturday and five modified windward-leewards (x2) on Sunday. Racing was very close, with many hectic mark roundings and exciting starts.
